About the Event

Public opinion appears to be shifting on masks, after months of hearing from experts about how we don't need to wear them amid the coronavirus outbreak that guidance is starting to change.

Today, we are seeing experts and government officials around the world calling for mandatory masking policies.

So how effective are face masks in preventing the spread of COVID-19? Do you think these mandates help curb the spread of the virus by reducing the probability that asymptomatic persons can unwittingly pass it on to others? Are these mandatory policies an infringement on individual liberties and freedoms?  We have lots to cover in this debate and we hope you can join us!

Affirming the resolution is Professor David Johnson.

Negative to the resolution is Denis Rancourt, PhD.
